@KristieLBurk@DMShovlin are sharing "Extending your District’s Instructional Model Beyond the Four Walls of the Classroom - Thriving int he Age of Blending Learning" #PowerSchoolLIVE
@DMShovlin recommends [ providing Ss] "...opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge through something a little bit more contemporary or true to what their culture is." #PowerSchoolLIVE
Blended learning is NOT scanning worksheets and putting them online. "We need to think about more innovative ways that we're asking students to meet standards and demonstrate mastery of content and knowledge. " - @DMShovlin#PowerSchoolLIVE
Trying to remember, as I answer student emails about questions I already answered in an update, that maybe it's not about the question itself, but more about a sense of regularity in uncertain times -- that I'm still here, ready & willing to help, even though we're not in school.
@TNording@Schoology I would love it for use in discussion boards and assignments! When I ask students to choose emojis for characters, they have to insert or attach an image. This would be so much easier!
@MrChemGeek I tell student teachers and mentees all the time: secretaries and maintenance keep schools running. Know them. Appreciate them. Value them.
A student painting a mural dropped her phone into the bottomless pit behind my classroom’s HVAC unit. Our maintenance staff went above and beyond to retrieve it, with good humor and smiles along the way. Thankful for them today!
The replies to and support on this Tweet are important for so many reasons.
1. We all feel this way sometimes.
2. It’s okay to not be okay.
3. Check in regularly with your teacher friends and colleagues. They/we need it.
Thank you, everyone. 💛
@DrFrankBuck@KristieLBurk@fetc@Schoology Yes, an email was sent to the presenters bringing the issue to their attention and asking for proper credit. We have not yet heard back from them.
Educators present at conferences not for glory or personal gain, but to share ideas and experience with the hope of benefiting all. We want our ideas out there... but not at the expense of professional courtesy or proper attribution and content credit.
1/6 I am extremely upset & hurt this morning. I was looking at a slide deck for an upcoming presentation @fetc and noticed that two presenters took several slides from a presentation that @DMShovlin and I presented at @schoology conference two years ago! #fetc#schoologyamb
