@ScotNational STV and ITV are different entities. STV buys programming and the associated advertising revenue from ITV. STV dont have the rights for the WC so while they could have their own pundits in a studio in Glasgow we’d still have non Scots (pesky English) commentators.
@QuinanLloyd@ScotNational gets all its news from X. They’ll have someone pouring over it and if they see one or two posts from angry Nats they’ll assume that means Scotland and then they have a “story”
@JohnSwinney@KevinStewartSNP Productive - achieving meaningful results or creating valued output efficiently. Unless theres something tangible coming from this then it’s just a very expensive photoshoot.
the final score and being able to watch the highlights!!! They’re up on the BBC sport website why can’t they be in iPlayer at the same time? It’s there now but kind of ruins it if you know the score.
@BBCSport@BBCiPlayer I like the fact that’s there’s no spoilers highlights on iPlayer but when I went on this morning about 6am there were none from overnight but said watch USA v Paraguay live. Assuming the game was still playing I went onto the BBC sport app to find out…
@staylorish So this person took on two properties even though by her own admission her job might be made redundant and used her pension to help with the costs but wants the UK to compensate her for her questionable financial planning?
@indy_swim Because according to the Scottish Government website donations to personal charity fundraising isn’t allowed. If the Scot Gov want the charity to get the money then it should donate using the proper rules and procedures.
@AgentP22 So what he’s a massive Scotland fan. First and foremost he’s an elected public servant. Yes he’s entitled to holidays but if parliament is sitting tough.
@FOWingsScot When you become an MP/MSP it has its advantages but also disadvantages. He may well be a Scotland fan and excited to be in the US but he’s an elected politician and it’s just tough luck the WC is on when he should be working.
@bridgegaplarge@hardlyperennial@Iain_L Whilst the money may ultimately may go to the charity the Scottish Gov website clearly stated yesterday it was going to an individual, which according to the SG rules isn’t allowed.
@JohnSwinney@scotgov That’s not what the Scottish gov website said this morning. So which is it? Is the charity getting the money directly or via the guy fundraising?
@Andrew94482941@ProudScot1@hardlyperennial That’s if they donate direct to a charity, the Scottish government website says it’s helping the guys fundraising which means it’s not going direct to the charity, so isn’t allowed.
@bridgegaplarge@hardlyperennial@Iain_L But according to the Scottish government website it’s been given to help the guys fundraising which also according to the Scottish government website isn’t allowed.
