WORST INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE

I had gone for an Immigration Officer II role at Harambee house some time in early 2000. I was asked to areange the colors of Kenya national flag from up down. I peepes through the windows to see if any was hoisted being a friday. The chief interviewer told me Mohamed, there is no flag.! I arranged my own colors and i was told that was Mesopotamia flag. I was the only one out of the 6 candidates with hard hair, the rest were of the same hair and ethnicity like the chief interviewer, I never got it,

WORST EXPERIENCE AT AN INTERVIEW

I went to the final stage of a communications position at the UN. First off, after leaving very early, nature decided to sabotage me by making a lorry fall and blocked the road towards muthaiga, which was the route I'd taken. My interview was at 9 AM, but because of the traffic, I got there at 10.30 AM 😩. I had called at 8.30 AM to inform them that I was running late due to the traffic and they said they would interview the person who was to go after me as he had already arrived. It was just the two of us. Between the clearance at the gate and walking to the UNDP side, I arrived at exactly 10.30 AM, tired and already discouraged. When they called me in, the man who was leading the panelists seemed disinterested. He didn't look up to listen to me, looked at his phone the entire interview, and was more than glad to dismiss me after I finished running my mouth for 30 minutes. I was sure I didn't get the job even as I was leaving. I told myself that when I get to such authority, I'd never treat a fellow human being as if they didn't matter

WORST EXPERIENCE AT AN INTERVIEW

I was referred for a receptionist role. We were 10 in the morning, then I was called back in the evening for the final round. I was later told by the guy who referred me that I had actually topped the interview, but I didn't get it because madam felt I was "too presentable" to sit at the reception in front of her husband. I just laughed it off and moved on!

WORST EXPERIENCE AT AN INTERVIEW

I attended a worst interview just recently. I was told to join the meeting 15 minutes before time. I waited for 30 minutes, then later two people came. They were not even sorry for coming in late, they were even not bothered to introduce their organization. The first speaker started in a bad note, no greetings, they didn't even ask me the obvious question. He started by asking a technical question which he was very fast like a miraa van. I told him to be slow because they failed to value my time. The guy closed the interview without even giving the second speaker time to tell me his name.

I will not mention them, but they know themselves. Shame on them!

I was told to quote a verse in the Bible and the sermon in the last service I attended and go ahead to preach about it. I was so confident and did as was told and later on as we were awaitimg for the results in another room, I was disqualified.

I was just a newbie with zero experience (just done with my undergraduate) and I was interviewing for a customer service role. I applied a little make-up to just look neat as a big girl 😁 but the way one woman embarrased me in front of the panel eeeehhh and they were all laughing (talking about i'm trying to win male attention at work)........ I think I lost confidence in my physical appearance more than in career.

WORST EXPERIENCE AT AN INTERVIEW

I had been invited for an interview for the position of Director, Devolved https://t.co/bnK3u42ifv usual I was well prepared for the interview.
I got in at 11 am and out of courtesy said: Good morning ladies and gentlemen (They were 11 panelist!!!!!)The chairman, a fellow luo, began lecturing me....We invited you, why are you the one greeting us? Are you trying to intimidate the panel? This is a public office and we dont care about you being a former international boxer. You must respect us, we are not fools and all of us are well educated and experience, otheriwse the gorvenor would not have given us this responsbility. You are a candidate and you are behaving as if you have the job already. My friend be humble! Now sit down!I smiled and sat down....He then asked me who my Assitant chief was, I said I dont know...he went again: Oliver you are very rude, you think you only know big people, according to you, an Assitant chief is a small person.I just kept quite.I had circulated my certificates....very many certificates and all my thesis and written works...He then asked for my reports forms from my primary school...I told him I didnt have!He then asked me to leave the interview room telling me that it seems I didnt want the job.Just like that, I went to City Market and had a nice matumbo ugali for lunch!!!
