I recently put together an album on Bandcamp featuring a collection of original VGM music that I’ve written over the past year. Please check it out if you’re interested https://t.co/05MsOGUIia
I’ve been getting into pixel art recently so I decided to have a go at the album art:
@Victoriabelle23@_WokeNonsenseFC Not agreeing with op but England are the 4th ranked team world, Norway are 19th, they are objectively favourites, doesn’t mean they’ll win though
@jonathanstoop All you’ve done is move the line slightly. There will always be a hard line where you can be a millimetre offside and people will complain. The line might as well be where it is now instead of an arbitrary distance closer to the goal
@Baddiel Ultimately people are annoyed because a goal that made the game more exciting was ruled out. Problem is we can’t judge offsides based on whether or not it will increase the excitement of the game. The player touched the ball so it was offside, the debate on this is baffling
@ZeldaLoreYT They clearly are but TotK is a terrible sequel from a story/lore perspective. It loosely acknowledges BotW but has no interest in maintaining continuity in any way
@ZeldasBreakfast Weirdly I actually would prefer them to make significant changes, that would actually preserve the original version better. If it’s just a 1 to 1 remake, it would supersede the original and likely be worse IMO. A reimagining would be ideal
@OctorokR My main issue is the magic of BotW came from exploring its world for the first time. TotK reusing the map completely removes the entire appeal of an open world Zelda to me. The sky/depths/minimal changes to the overworld aren’t even close to replicating that original feeling
@KisekiCouple I think the time mechanics, npc routines and how it all ties in to the side quests is incredible and more games should take inspiration from it (Outer Wilds is the only one I know of and it’s the greatest game ever made). The actual Zelda part of it isn’t great though IMO
@RandalfTheGreat It’s almost as if reviewing a game is subjective and everyone has their on contrasting opinions. The aggregate score is a reflection of all those subjective opinions, including the ones you don’t agree with
@Tacochu_ I’m hoping they change it quite significantly purely so that it won’t end up superseding the original. Re-imaginings are ok as both version can exist side by side, 1-1 remakes are actually worse IMO as they replace the og, often with something worse (aka Demons Souls)
@MightyGazelle1 The entire structure of the game goes against what made Zelda great previously. It was a perfect balance between adventuring in the world and exploring intricate dungeons. SS made the entire game feel like one big, linear dungeon, which while still great lost a lot of the magic
@harperlee789 Games are just a type of art form like reading a book, watching a film or listening to music. In fact they’re uniquely awesome in that they essentially combine all of them into one. Should there be an age limit on listening to music?
@fornatron I honestly can’t understand why people say their graphical fidelity is bad, it’s impossible for me to notice because their games just look so incredible. It’s probably true but it is quite literally the least important aspect of a game, good art direction is all that matters
@Namatnieks Absolutely. Most soulslikes are on paper very similar games but they feel nothing like an actual FromSoft game. LoP comes close due to the great atmosphere/world building. Hollow Knight matches/surpasses again due to the thick vibes and exploration. Gameplay is secondary IMO
@ZeldasBreakfast I really don’t think they should mess around too much with the structure, a semi-open and semi-linear experience is perfect IMO. If the BotW-ise it it’ll be a disaster
@King_Chef_03@Pirat_Nation Bloodborne wouldn’t exist if FromSoft didn’t have this philosophy, they would have just kept making Dark Souls games. It’s their creativity and freedom which leads to them making amazing games in the first place
