@Gareth_Sandford Thanks for the reply. I usually do shorter speed sessions (1x/week) in the last two weeks before a marathon. So still getting some critical speed stimulus but simultaneously lessening the volume and training load. I’ll read the full piece!
@Alan_Couzens I said this today for the first time ever. One week out from Chicago marathon and some buddies asked if I wanted to watch football today - I said I couldn’t because I needed to rest and nap.
@Alex_HPL They sure do.
Naps only between sessions to rest, but never as a substitute for maximum uninterrupted sleep at night (can they watch my kids for a month before each of my marathons?!?)
