A lot of Dr. Muganga’s “students,” operating under what appear to be bot accounts, have come out to downplay what are, in our view, genuine concerns as Ugandans.

Can someone help answer the following questions?

Our concern is not where Dr. Muganga was born, nor how many citizenships he holds. The real question is: what does the law say about dual citizens holding certain public offices?

Prior to his appointment this week, Dr. Muganga did not qualify for a diplomatic passport. So how did he obtain one? As someone asked earlier, did Victoria University suddenly become a public institution without the country being informed?

If his appointment is based on his expertise in AI and Machine Learning, then why is he being assigned to a ministry responsible for citizenship, immigration, and passports?

We also have a video in which Dr. Muganga states that he was born in Masaka. Could he clarify whether he meant Masaka or Mukono?

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is one of the key institutions responsible for safeguarding and implementing the Constitution. Yet it appears the proposed minister has already raised questions about the very standards of transparency and public trust required for that office.

These are legitimate questions. They deserve answers, not insults.

Internal Affairs was officially handed over to Rwanda. It started with NIRA opening up a branch in Rwanda. Now the guy who was once arrested for spying Uganda for Rwanda is fully in charge of the Internal affairs .

This means the Rwandese will be getting Ugandan IDs and passports unrestricted
