@MA_PETeacher A3: I have created a sidewalk chalk course for my Ss. I will be sharing it as the weather gets warmer. It includes motor skill warm up and then a course creation #espechat
Did an online scavenger hunt with a group of 2nd graders today! I'd call out the item, Ss would run & find it & bring it back in front of the screen. I awarded pts - 5 for 1st, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd, everyone else gets 1. #physed@Geneva304#HPEatHome Thx @MrCondranHPE 4 the idea.
β#PhysEdSummit FAQs:
Q: What is the #PhysEdSummit?
A: It is a FREE online conference for #HealthEd & #PhysEd teachers on May 9 from 8am-2pm EDT. This yearβs conference features 37 sessions from 51 presenters who teach in 8 different countries.
@LovePhyEd Isn't this unbelievable? I read through the thread on here and unfortunately, the people on twitter are not the people who are still using this practice...how can we reach that group of individuals?
A4: We use a lot of different assessments creation, paper pencil, skill rubrics all summative and formative, thumbs up/down, question and answer, show and tell #espechat
A3: for us, we used the SHAPE outcomes as a guide and then as a District decided on the most essential skills that we had time to teach and assess #espechat
A2: Assessment is essential for teaching so you know what to plan next. Without assessment you don't know if the Ss have learned what you wanted them to learn. Assessment is essential for learning to ensure that learning has taken place at the desired level or above #espechat
A1: assessment is determining where students are at with their skills based on benchmarks. The whole purpose is to let students know where they are at and what they should do next; either challenge or keep working on it #espechat
