When Trump's name was put on the Kennedy Center in mid-December 2025—an action all involved knew was illegal—they used scissor lifts and did the whole job in 2-3 hours. But somehow—huh!—taking the name down is the most arduous, old-school-scaffolding, head-scratching task *ever*.
28 years and Hegseth cancels it. This isn’t anti-DEI. It’s hate designed to push them out of service. — Air Force cites DEI ban in cancellation of wreath-laying honoring women vets https://t.co/Lu6vBCVJ8R
Let's walk through what actually happened here, in order.
DOGE cut the USAID program specifically designed to prevent screwworm from crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. DOGE cut USDA's animal disease control and prevention funding. That funding had supported more than 180 outbreak investigations in 22 countries and capacity-building in more than 160 laboratories. The screwworm monitoring and response program that watched the border for exactly this parasite - cut.
Then screwworm showed up in Texas cattle. Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a disaster for Zavala and Uvalde counties this week.
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins went on CNBC this morning and blamed the Biden administration, 17 months out of office.
Her specific words: "obviously not much had been done to push back."
The program that was supposed to push back existed. DOGE eliminated it in March 2025. Rollins has been Agriculture Secretary since February 13, 2025. The cuts happened on her watch.
Beef prices are already high. Ranchers in south Texas are now dealing with a flesh-eating parasite that was eradicated in this country in the 1960s - eradicated, specifically, using the sterile fly program her department defunded.
The flies existed. The program existed. The budget existed.
Until it didn't.
Trump: "[Graham Platner] is like a pig…He's worse than any human being that's ever run for office."
Trump: "Grab them by the pussy…I did try to fuck her. She was married."
For those who were so concerned about inflation in the run-up to the 2024 election, the inflation rate was 2.9% during Biden's last year in office. Today, with Donald and the White House in charge of the economy, inflation has risen to 4.2%.
4.2 > 2.9
Prices are rising faster than paychecks.
Average wages haven't kept pace with inflation, which means the purchasing power of the typical paycheck has been falling.

🚨SCOOP: Lawmakers just slipped a line into a bill that gives Uber and Lyft a special get-out-of-jail-free card shielding the companies from lawsuits amid a flood of class-action cases.
So… it’s been exactly three months since Donald Trump said that we’d won the war with Iran, and somehow the war is still happening. Anyone else noticing this.
🚨DONALD TRUMP SLEPT THROUGH THE GAME
His trip to Madison Square Garden for the NBA Finals was a MASSIVE inconvenience to NYC. It’s worse than you think:
Consider the COSTS of:
⚫️ Secret Service deployment
⚫️ Presidential motorcade
⚫️ Air support and aviation assets
⚫️ Federal communications/security equipment
⚫️ NYPD overtime
⚫️ Traffic agents and street closures
⚫️ Barricades, fencing, checkpoints
⚫️ Emergency response staging
Transit disruptions around Penn Station
⚫️ Lost economic activity from road closures
⚫️Cancellation of the Knicks watch party
⚫️Additional arena security staffing
⚫️Sanitation and cleanup
All so a brain dead demented grandpa can go to sleep.
What a tremendous waste.
We’ve lost 13 people… but…
But.
There are 13 human beings whose kids will never see them again. 13 people whose parents will never speak to them again. 13 real people who are no longer alive because of him and his illegal war.
And this 5 time draft dodger has the fucking nerve to diminish their deaths.
