@heartsabustin I don’t think this and have lots of close friends who homeschool. Reality: We’ve had multiple homeschool child deaths due to abuse/neglect and have some of the broadest homeschool reporting laws in the country so it is concern for some lawmakers.

Years ago, our church would pass out groceries for free and even help with electric bills.

We changed this a bit and asked the recipients to do a small token of work in exchange - vacuum the sanctuary, dust the pews, etc.

The number of people asking for assistance dropped to 0.

With the federal cut to Americorps, it’s looking like WV is losing hundreds of members around our state including several United Ways and High Rocks.

These members dedicate this time in their life to public service for others and we’re indebted to their programs. What a shame.
