@rtenews@gardainfo where were you? There should be cops on the beat on the main street of a City the size of Cork. There was no shortage of you policing the Tesco knicker Isle during covid making sure we didn't by non essential items. Where did ye all dissappear to now that we need you?
@MarcGrossman12 @Anth6280Davis @d2thedre Rothschild and the Jewish communities in Britain game more to Irish Famine than any other group. People don't like hearing that but it's true. There's a. 1800s church in my hometown with stars of David all over the alter, in thanks for their support.
@etc_tess This is driving me up the wall. It's so depressing. The church in my hometown the Church, built in the 1860s has Star of David motifs in the tilework to thank the Jews for their help during the famine.
@justSTFUyes@delycialefosse@GreenandWhi1@darrengrimes You can also read about it in this book, which is available online. It details the building of the churchhttps://kenmareparish.ie/other-information/holy-cross-church-150/
@justSTFUyes@delycialefosse@GreenandWhi1@darrengrimes Jewish synagogues in America and Britain collected over $1,500 and £600,000 in aid compared to the US and foreign governments which pledged $50 and £3,000 respectively.
@justSTFUyes@delycialefosse@GreenandWhi1@darrengrimes I literally live there and have photographs which I'll post here if I can find them. Holy Cross was founded by Fr. John O' Sullivan, who campaigned for aid. Stars of David all over the place in mosaic work on either side of the altar. Still there to this day.
@gobshite102 Not the only. British and American Jewish communities donated more than any other group. Holy Cross Church In Kenmare, built soon after the famine, has Stars of David around the altar to thank them.

@justSTFUyes@delycialefosse@GreenandWhi1@darrengrimes Yes the Jews. The London and New you're Jewish community contributed more than any other group to Irish Famine relief. In fact Holy Cross Church in Kenmare has stars of David circling the alter as a thank you gesture. https://t.co/hxgz4vsDtv
@Ryan_O_R@Ryan_O_R My grandmother isn't able to swallow water at the moment, very dehydrated. We took her to Tralee A&E at 9am. At 10pm she was on a trolly. She still had NO canula or drip in her arm. It was quiet all day. The nurses seem to be on a go slow strike. Like zombies.
