š¢Just to give you some perspective this wallet is down roughly 68 to 70 million dollars on Kaspa⦠yet heās still accumulating. So called smart money doesnāt just chase speculation. They clearly know something we donāt. #Kaspa#KAS
Crypto gave individuals sovereignty. Staghunt is betting the next frontier is the group version: coordination markets.

Imperial College London AI Hackathon Day #1 - Full Panel Talk On $KAS By IzioDev
"AI needs are similar to human needs" say's @IzioDev
Such a powerful talk on how Kaspa can be the perfect layer for AI agents!
We will be back there again 3 more times, more information below šš
since many (~4) asked me about the zcash bug - - - earlier this year I had this convo with a zcash core dev:
zk: it's weird that kaspa is pruning past records
me: why does it need to keep 'em?
zk: the whole point of ledgers is to prove correctness of all state transitions
me: the whole point of ledgers is to provide focal points for the consensus state
zk: the whole point...
me: hmm then why did you come work in zcash? you know the Sprout->Sapling counterfeiting bug
zk: Turnstile guarantees that the counterfeit could have been very limited
me: true but you still cannot prove or even reason about correct state transitions besides the total supply cap
zk: that's actually a good point
----
the most hardcore cryptography coin is shifting away from correctness proofs to practical-enough proofs. I believe this is a step in the right+practical direction, yet the paradigm shift should not go unnoticed - -cryptography is giving way to consensus.
if you came to zcash for cryptographic integrity, reconsider. there are many good reasons to root for zcash prospering. zcash is serving a more important role than bitcoin, whose utility for the original mission is by now blurry. cryptographic integrity is/should not be one of those reasons.
----
BTW the bug should definitely have been exploited. I don't know the personal values of Taylor Hornby, and I shouldn't be required to make the effort to learn them. I only know that if I found such an exploit, it wouldn't take me more than a few minutes to tempt myself into printing a longint amount of ZEC and deciding later what to do with it.
I wouldn't necessarily use it to exit the pool immediately and corrupt the supply, I'd wait to see if some portion of the broken pool does not seem to migrate on time (probably lost funds), in which case I would not think twice before claiming the funds myself.
you could argue that no harm done, and you might be right, but then again you are here -- in zcash / in crypto -- for its consensus dynamics, the ability to coordinate interests and convictions across different trust zones around some shared asset; not for some pristine mathematical integrity.
Mind-blowning : a fresh Toccata mainnet node on #Kaspa just synced to tip in 42 minutes flat.
Toccata = $KAS 's massive hard fork upgrade that just dropped L1 programmability (covenants + ZK verification support + enhanced sequencing) while keeping the insane high-block-rate PoW BlockDAG engine that makes Kaspa legendary.
Check the terminal logs:
⢠~20 TPS
⢠Eating 8ā16 blocks at a time
⢠1,292 transactions processed in 10 seconds , it's black magic compared to the slow-moving chains weāre used to.
**Official Toccata Release ā Mainnet Hardfork Activation Included** (Links in reply)
Weāre excited to announce the official Kaspa release containing the **Toccata Hardfork** activation logic.
Toccata is scheduled to activate on mainnet at DAA score `474,165,565`, expected around **June 30, 2026, 16:15 UTC**.
This is a consensus-changing upgrade. All node operators, miners, pools, exchanges, indexers, wallets, and infrastructure providers must upgrade before activation to remain compatible with the network.
Toccata introduces a major expansion of Kaspa L1 capabilities, including:
⢠**Native L1 covenant support** through transaction introspection, allowing for more expressive contracts, including stateful contracts
⢠**Covenant IDs**, providing stable covenant lineage across UTXO transitions, so covenant instances can preserve continuity as their state moves from one UTXO to the next
⢠**ZK proof verification on L1** via `OpZkPrecompile`, enabling to trustlessly offload computation off-chain.
⢠**Partitioned sequencing commitments**, improving support for based ZK applications by making lane-local proving scale with relevant activity rather than global throughput
Please upgrade as soon as possible and verify your nodes are running the new release well before the activation DAA score.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to designing, implementing, reviewing, and testing Toccata.
Behind this merge and recent annoucement are countless hours of sifting through every code path, tests, retests and head down coding by @michaelsuttonil@Max143672@OriNewman@IzioDev et al. Finally, toccata is merged in master. Releases coming up soon (tm).
Any guesses for the mainnet DAA activation score?
A message to the Kaspa community, letās clear the air on the founder, the whales, and what actually matters.Iāve been watching the recent noise around @hashdag and the Discord screenshot thatās being twisted by some toxic and negative people into some conspiracy about him being ābought out.ā
Letās be real and cut through the drama with facts and logic. Yonatan Sompolinsky built Kaspa from the ground up on fair-launch principles: no pre-mine, no VC bags, fully open-source, and a protocol designed for maximum decentralization and performance.
Thatās not the resume of someone who āsold out.ā Thatās the resume of a founder who has consistently put the technology first, years of execution, sleepless nights, and relentless delivery while others chase narratives. In the screenshot that's being quoted, heās simply stating the obvious: the whales who have actually contributed (through grants via KEF, dev funding, adoption pushes, and holding through volatility) deserve respect, not constant antagonism. Heās not defending exploitation,Heās refusing to play the zero-sum game of pitting community members against each other.
His exact words show heās laser-focused on building, not on policing who holds $KAS or how they acquired it on the open market. That is exactly the right way to lead a decentralized project.A founderās job isnāt to be the community hall monitor or to fuel every X feud.
His job is to keep the protocol neutral, open to anyone, and technically superior. By refusing to join the pile-on against the only large holders who have stepped up with real resources, Hashdag is protecting #Kaspaās long-term health. Antagonizing contributors doesnāt make the network strongerit drives away capital, talent, and momentum.
Kaspaās edge has always been its tech and its fair foundation, not manufactured drama. This stance is not negative for Kaspa at all, itās the opposite. It signals to the world that Kaspa is a serious, mature project run by adults who prioritize substance over spectacle. It keeps the focus where it belongs: on Rust nodes, blockDAG scaling, ecosystem grants, and real adoption. The protocol is open. The market is free. Whales exist in every major crypto because thatās how liquid markets work.
Celebrating the ones who build alongside the founder is healthy, not corrupt. Hereās the uncomfortable truth for the child-like cry-baby noise-makers: constant negativity, vague accusations without evidence, and turning every disagreement into betrayal is what actually harms the community. It creates FUD, burns out holders, and distracts from the tech thatās still ahead of the curve.
If youāre tired of the cycle unfollow all those accounts that thrive on it because that's their job they benefit to see FUD in Kaspa. Unfollow the perpetual critics who havenāt shipped code or solutions in years. Follow the builders, the devs, the people shipping updates and grants. Protect your timeline and your conviction.
Kaspaās future isnāt decided in Xthreads or Discord screenshots. Itās decided in the code, the hashrate, and the growing ecosystem. Hashdag understands that. The rest of us should too.
Stay focused. Stay bullish. $KAS isnāt going anywhere except forward. š¤

Here we go again: rehearsing a major hardfork on testnet 10, this time crescendoing into Toccata
Activation is scheduled for tomorrow May 18, 16:00 UTC.
Existing TN10 miners/operators should upgrade now. In a few hours upgraded p2p nodes will stop connecting to non-upgraded nodes as we enter the 24h pre-activation window.
Letās make the mainnet activation boring by making the TN10 rehearsal as mainnet-real-world as possible
