I see all these posts about what coaches are looking for in players.
Why don’t we talk about what players are looking for in coaches?
Players want to know:
• Will you be honest with me?
• Will you develop me?
• Will your standards be the same for everyone?
• Will your actions match your words?
Most players can handle the truth.
What they struggle with is inconsistency.

“We are about Troy because nothing is better than celebrating with the boys. My favorite part of this entire day hasn’t even happened yet because you know what it’s gonna be? It’s gonna be getting on the bus with all the guys…”
Troy Coach Skylar Meade does not want the Trojans (from Alabama) to be portrayed as a Cinderella story.
“We’re trying to win a National Championship and anything less than that is failure… I’m not joking.”
@BuckeyeNatty I would be very surprised if that was the pitchers decision. That was amazing he didn't throw it into right field. The mistake was the coach calling the pickoff. This is yet another issue with coaches micro managing every aspect of the game.
It was always an awkward moment when someone needed the red bat.
“Yeah, Billy, you can play but you gotta use the red bat.”
“But I wanna use the yellow bat like everybody else.”
“Motherfucker, you went 0-for-46 yesterday. The yellow bat is no longer an option for you.”
The Citadel rolled out there a 85 mph low arm slot fastball changeup guy against SEC Oklahoma and it’s a 5-3 game… you don’t have to throw 95 to get outs and compete at the D1 level. This isn’t a message just for players by the way.
Be careful judging young athletes too early.
Maturity has a way of catching up with ambition.
The kid who struggles today may become the player everyone wishes they had tomorrow.
That’s why great coaches develop potential, not just performance.

@Coach_Tape@tommyreamon Why is that a problem ? Just because they are that age doesn't mean they have developed and matured. If you are concerned about bigger stronger kids then say that. Come up with a different metric to stop whatever you are concerned about.
Blaming the 1st baseman for not “coming up” on a baseball that hit a crater in the infield is ridiculous. This is the @JUCOWorldSeries, not a random Tuesday midweek game. Players at this level should expect a playable surface, especially on the biggest stage of the year. Bad hops caused by poor field conditions shouldn’t define games or players. Do better announcer. @LSUEunice
List of things surrounding the Charlie Kirk assassination that I personally still can’t get over:
1. The “Superman neck” comments
2. Mikey McCoy casually walking away on a phone call right after Charlie was shot
3. The whole SD card situation
4. The sheriff suddenly resigning
5. The crime scene being paved over so quickly
6. The stairway photos not looking like Tyler to me
7. The constant attacks on Candace Owens for simply asking questions
8. Frank Turek and Brian Harpole giving different stories about what happened inside the vehicle
9. TPUSA seemingly changing Charlie’s beliefs after his death
10. Erika filming and posting herself crying over the casket
11. The discord confession posted after he was in custody
12. The missing video of Tyler Robinson turning himself in
13. The fact that the text messages said he wanted to never tell anyone about this but left a note for Lance underneath the Keyboard ?
14. " The event of a Century" ?
15. Lying about Charlie distancing himself from Israel
The list could probably going to 100
I’m not claiming to have all the answers. I’m just saying none of this feels normal to me.
