@kelseybogan From a reporting standpoint, I love being able to do that, because in my district, we have to report reasons anyway. But 1) I totally understand that it would be better to have the option to turn it off, and 2) I wish we had the option to edit the reasons to match to our reports

This is ridiculous and heartbreaking. There’s a reason the ALA/AASL strongly recommends selection and challenge procedures, including the use of professional reviews, specifically to prevent this type of situation. The whole complaint form is a joke. 😡

This is infuriating. Scholastic has so much power in the children’s books arena, and rather than using that power to take a stand against book bans, they ask authors to minimize their their stories to avoid the risk of being banned.
