Holy moly! 😍 5.8k tuned in to listen to the replay in 3 days??!!!! No wonder everyone was saying record the space when I chose to not record DN Talk #1. For those who missed that 5 hour room on 1st Jan - It was a great room of course as always and had the New Year celebratory vibes. Here are my top 5 take aways from the talk around domains and Ai for me:
1. Todd @abcproductions the amazing co-host of the session and someone I consider a dear friend spoke about how he went to law school just to learn how it all works [contracts, legal technicalities, etc.] so he can negotiate and understand law-speak better but didn't finish. More the reason why his Domain Name Law Show [https://t.co/1Hk7x3iQza] that he hosts is so good. Todd also said "Ai is moving me along fast" regarding developing landers and other website needs with Ai copilots.
2. Dovid @DNInsider spoke at length about how he sold a domain for USD 138K and did reveal the name and the process from start to closing the sale. Dovid as usual contributed immensely and in detail to the conversation and gave much of his oft spoken advice.
3. Paul @singhdotin got guilted into coming and wishing everyone HNY 😜 He did speak about how short and memorable names are smarter and will continue to be preferred.
4. Jeremiah @CatchingDomains gave an Ai tip about Amazon Q Developer Pro that costs $19 but helps him get a lot of git repository related work done.
5. Alex @TruDomainz spoke about DomainFi and the decentral marketplaces that will take domain buying and selling to a whole new level.

I also sat up till 5 am and soft launched the Domain Buying and Selling Book (at a globally affordable pre-order price) at https://t.co/EPTcRLgwp6 right after the room. I was supposed to launch during it but it had a couple of errors I had to sort out without being in conversation.

Hope this helps ease the feeling of having missed out for many who told me that. 😇 I'll be recording most of the spaces henceforth. Probably have the first 2 hours of focussed conversation recorded and then followed by a more casual 1-2 hour aftershow for feedback, comments and networking. I can't imagine people listening to the entire 4 or 5+ hours of repeat banter that most conversations start to become after a while. I also don't want anyone to start feeling they are wasting their precious time. Unless everyone prefers I record the entire thing but have a break after the main agenda is discussed. That way the rest of the conversation is optional and for the die hard. 🥰

Since there is another spaces (by @cultra and @domainpro) happening around the time i started having the DN Talk on Wednesdays, DNTalk will move up by 3.5 hours in the weeks when their show is airing on Wednesday. I anyway wanted to experiment with multiple timings so others from around the world could come and speak 😍🥰
So for now the timing will be 11.30pm IST / 1pm EST or 8pm IST / 9.30am EST - all rooms will be recorded. 🙏🏽💕🦋

Rather than jump right into creating a group of hundreds of unknown domainers - many such groups exist - I wanted to first bring together and moderate 2 smaller groups and see how it goes for a few months. These are the two groups which I am creating on Whatsapp, please connect with me if you fall into either and want to be added.

1) Tamil Domainers - This group will be for tamilians and tamil lovers from anywhere around the world. 98% tamilians or tamil PIOs with a few exceptional people who know Tamil out of interest or who have spouses who are Tamil (coz your portfolio belongs to them too 😆). Criteria: Must be an active domainer with a portfolio larger than 50 domains.

2) 99 Domainers - Group of elite domainers and industry stalwarts who have done some big sales or something extraordinary. A respectful and loving group of individuals who want to share and learn from each other. Once a core group of 50 is formed each individual after that to be added will be voted upon so I doubt it's gonna reach 99 quickly. Well suited for highly successful domainers who don't want to be in large groups with lots of unknown people. You will know each of the people on this group and get to know them more. Criteria: Must be an active domainer with a portfolio larger than 100 domains, plus at least one major sale above $50k (or two above $25k), or someone truly extraordinary in our industry.

Sorry to those who don't fall into either, just doing what I am able to due to lack of time and a desire to see how smaller groups thrive. 🤗 There is gonna be another bigger group of 999 domainers which will be added as soon as I get a little time and know who can be depended to moderate alongside me for the long term. Reposts much appreciated.
