Today we received hardware from @PCHglobal to run AS3856 (Internet Routing Analytics) and AS42 (Name server for ~ 400 cc Top Level Domains). @Quad9DNS will be available in Dortmund as well. Lower latency & higher availability for all peers and their customers!

@dereulenspiegel @moreentropy Wir begrüßen dezentralität in der Peering-Welt, arbeiten aber nicht mit dem Ruhr-CIX zusammen. Der DO-IX wird in den nächsten Monaten noch weitere CDN und ISP zusammen bringen, um die Region zu stärken.

@dereulenspiegel @moreentropy Hallo Till, am DO-IX sind z.B. Akamai, Cloudflare, Google & Facebook vertreten - auch wenn dies nur kleine Edge Cluster mit bis zu 50 Gbps sind, ist schon lange Content in Dortmund vorhanden. Eine wichtige Rolle für die lokalen Netzbetreiber spielt dies z.B. bei Fussballspielen.
