I join the rest of the nation in mourning the passing of Rt. Hon. Gen. Moses Ali, a distinguished statesman, patriot and former Prime Minister who dedicated his life to serving Uganda. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the people of Adjumani and all Ugandans. May Allah grant him eternal peace and Jannatul Firdaus.

Gen. Moses Ali was my neighbour here in Ntinda for many years and I came to know him as a humble, kind and approachable man whose wisdom and dedication to public service earned him respect across the country. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and his immense contribution to our nation.
