Ensuring Connectivity When It Matters the Most!

The Department of Telecommunications has implemented Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) in the disaster-affected districts of Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and Nagaland to ensure uninterrupted mobile connectivity during emergencies.

Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) is a telecom arrangement where a mobile subscriber connects to another operator’s network within the same telecom circle (region). This allows users to access mobile services even if their own operator has no coverage in that specific area.

Once your request is submitted, the handset is blocked across all telecom networks and tracing is activated. When the device is traced, CEIR automatically sends an SMS/email alert to you and the concerned Police Station with details for recovery.

यदि कोई व्यक्ति अवरुद्ध (ब्लॉक किए गए) मोबाइल हैंडसेट का उपयोग करने का प्रयास करता है, तो उसकी ट्रेसेबिलिटी रिपोर्ट स्वचालित रूप से उस पुलिस थाने को भेज दी जाती है, जहाँ नागरिक द्वारा शिकायत दर्ज कराई गई थी। इसके साथ ही, आवेदक को SMS अलर्ट भी प्राप्त होता है। खोए या चोरी हुए मोबाइल हैंडसेट की बरामदगी के लिए आवेदक संबंधित पुलिस थाने से संपर्क कर सकते हैं।

Strengthening collaboration against cybercrime!

Andhra Pradesh LSA, led by DDG (Security) Shri Hemant Rathwe, met with DGP CID Shri Ravi Shankar to discuss task force initiatives, ongoing cybercrime investigations, and measures to enhance the cybersecurity ecosystem. Director (Security) Ms. Nitika presented key findings from cases detected with State LEAs and highlighted systemic improvements required.

In recognition of the exemplary work of the DoT, DGP CID Shri Ravi Shankar presented Certificates of Appreciation to DDG (Security) Shri Hemant Rathwe, Director (Security) Ms. Nitika, ADG Shri Alen Anurag, and AD Shri Sai Kumar for their outstanding contribution to intelligence generation and coordination with State Law Enforcement Agencies.

Don't let a fake parcel message become a real scam.

Scammers often ask you to dial codes like *21*number# to redirect your calls and misuse your OTPs and personal information.
