Abigail Lloyd teaches K-5 General Music and Chorus at Forest View Elementary. She received "Teacher of the Year" for the 2024/25 school year at FVE and loves to encourage curiosity and creativity through music with her students and school community.
On February 10, 2025, Courtney Hayes-Dawson was recognized as the Beginning Teacher of the Year at W.G. Pearson Magnet Elementary School. She would like to thank Principal Kendell Dorsey and Assistant Principal Christy Hall for the support and great leadership.
As we continue to celebrate Arts in Our Schools Month, we recognize Ann Thaden. Ann Thaden is a founder of The Running Bull Film Festival, Durham's official high school film screening and workshop at the Carolina Theatre of Durham. Way to go!!
