Some of the most impressive young hitters arriving in the big leagues today aren’t impressive because they’re doing something revolutionary.
They’re impressive because they’re doing things that used to be normal.
They know the strike zone.
They stay inside the baseball.
They use the whole field.
They adjust from at-bat to at-bat.
Twenty-five years ago, every organization had hitters like this coming through the system.
Today, those skills are so rare that fans immediately start talking about superstardom when they see them.
That’s not a criticism of the players.
It’s an indictment of what modern hitting development has become.
The fact that basic hitting skills stand out this much should tell you everything you need to know about the current state of hitting.
I’m about ready to throw up listening to Mr Intelligent justify his horrible decisions day in and day out.
At least he didn’t blame McGonigle today.

Easter hits different when you really stop and think about what it means. It is not just a holiday or a tradition. It is a reminder that no matter how far you feel like you have gone, no matter what you have done or how heavy things feel right now, you are not beyond forgiveness and you are not beyond a fresh start.
A lot of people think they have to get their life together before they come back to God. That they need to fix themselves first or clean everything up. That is not the truth. You come as you are. With your past, your mistakes, your regrets, all of it. That is the whole point. You do not earn forgiveness, you ask for it.
If something has been pulling at you lately, if you have been searching or feeling like something is missing, do not ignore that. That is your moment. You do not need to wait for the perfect time or for life to slow down.
Just go to church. Walk in. Sit down. Be still for a minute. If you are Catholic, go to confession and say what you have been holding in. Ask for forgiveness and mean it. That is where everything can change.
You can start today. Right now. No matter what your past looks like, it does not define you anymore. That is what Easter is all about.
As my priest would always say, “Keep showing up, no matter what.”
Christ had risen…. HE has risen indeed.
Happy Easter everyone. 🙏🏼
