That’s a wrap on my 2024 money finding! This year’s count was 979 pennies (including three wheat pennies w/one from 1919), 97 nickels, 229 dimes, 83 quarters, and one $1 bill for a grand total of $71.29. That also brings the 8-year total since I started keeping track to $758.14.

Work took me to Jesse Owens State Park today and I got to see the Big Muskie Bucket that once moved 39 million pounds of earth and rock per hour from 1969 to 1991 or more than 483 million tons overall during that time. As you can tell from these pictures, it’s enormous!
