@Montero1016 Yes, it’s true. I’ve heard it from at least 5 Princes of OONI Aderemi including Prince Lambua Atobatele. All of them spoke fondly of Alaafin Siyanbola Ladigbolu because they knew him. It’s why you can’t see an original Ladigbolu speak against Ife or the OONI.

Sons of Ooni Aderemi, including Prince Olakunle Aderemi, lived with the Alaafin, Ladigbolu, in Oyo for a period. The bad blood began when Alaafin Adeyemi was enthroned. Perhaps, he was unhappy that Ooni Aderemi could not prevent the dethronement of his father, forgetting that Ooni Aderemi was already aged at that time . Although he did not reveal his true feelings until after Ooni Aderemi’s passing, he was the one who set this whole episode in motion.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo dances with his leader & mentor, Professor Aderibigbe Ologbenla at his 100th birthday celebration.

Professor Ologbenla, a grandson of Ooni Derin Ologbenla is also an uncle to the current Ooni of Ife and the head of the Giesi Ruling Dynasty. His longstanding relationship with Obasanjo goes beyond politics and public office, having mentored him before he assumed office and continued to guide and influence him during his years in government.

In 2015, Obasanjo personally followed the then Ooni-elect, Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, to Ile-Ife for his triumphant entry, at the behest of Professor Ologbenla👑❤️.
