Today Rahul Gandhi tweeted that the Modi government is interfering in the Tata Group.
Yet after Ratan Tata's passing, it is the Tata Group's own major shareholders and their relatives who are fighting among themselves.
By the way, when Rahul Gandhi was in power, this is how industrialists' companies were swallowed up. Hear it from the mouth of Chinnakannan Sivasankaran, the former owner of Aircel, who built the company through his own hard work.
Sivasankaran built Aircel. At first the company took a license to provide internet service in India, and right from the start it was making a profit of ₹400 crore per month.
After that, the company applied for a license to provide mobile service in five circles. It got the license, and the company began earning even more. Then it applied for a license to provide service in 8 more circles.
By then, this company had caught the eye of Dayanidhi Maran, the Telecom Minister during the Manmohan Singh government, and P. Chidambaram, the Home Minister.
Then the company's owner, Sivasankaran, was shocked when, far from getting the new license, the old license he had already been given was suddenly cancelled, and the phones of Aircel's 3 million customers suddenly stopped working.
Sivasankaran ran to Dayanidhi Maran, who told him: "Sell your company to the group I name, at the price I tell you, or forget about doing business in India. Your company will be ruined."
In the end, after making him suffer for 15 days, he was told to sell 70% of the company to Malaysia's Maxis Group, 20% to the owners of Apollo Hospitals, and 5% to a shell company of Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram, all at very low prices.
In return for this deal, Dayanidhi Maran received ₹800 crore through various companies. When this was later exposed, and was found to be true in a CBI investigation ordered by the court itself, Dayanidhi Maran had to resign from his post.
However, this is the only punishment ministers get for corruption in India. In any other country, you know what punishment he would have received.
After a ₹40,000 crore fodder scam, Lalu Yadav didn't spend even 1 day in jail. He was either in the hospital or in his own home.
And today the hypocrite Rahul Gandhi is lecturing the Modi government on how to deal with industrialists and how to handle them.
