@pawnerspapermag Once upon a time
I lived and I felt alive
I Blinked
And like sands it slipped through my hands
Like a dream slowly forgotten

Want to see if it's worth your while?
Here's an excerpt
Alright, I really tried to post an excerpt but the word count's too short😮💨
It's also a short story...or a short something, so there's no small part of a short story
Anyways, click the link😁

So I wrote a short story.
I doubt it could be called that...but, I'm trying to see how creative I can get.

Reality is the perfect place where dreams go to die and for Amina there is no better saying to describe her life. But dreaming is a choice along with all its setbacks.

Part Of A Moment
I seat under the tree and contemplate the falling leaves and the fluttering wind, I see the way it sways the leaves on the tree and I watch the soundless world go by
Without thought, emotion, feeling... time moving even though I am at a place, in peace.
Sometimes I live inside a sound, and become one with the lyrics...there, I want to forsake reality for a feeling that I find.
Music calls me as ethereal as the magnificence of the stars and as simple as a warm hug☕
I have been selected as a beneficiary of Cohort 2 of the DigiGirls
digital upskilling training program by @Cybersafe Foundation, funded by the UK
government. I am grateful for the opportunity. #DigiGirls2022
Sometimes I want what I can't have and have what I don't want. But then I've always realised that every time I get what I can't have. I realise I have lost what I really needed and have something I shouldn't.
It makes me wonder. Why was I blind at first

A little stone that is thrown in water makes a ripple that goes a long way
Change may not be easy or sweet, even tiring but then it has to begin somewhere, it begins when you start to see yourself as an instrument for that change to come
Change begins with you and me!
Once I saw a man who picked little starfishes that have been washed up on the shore and threw them back to the sea, and because I was curious I noticed he did this consistently after every rainfall and I wondered what was the point!
He was doing unnecessary work or so I thought

He picked up a starfish and threw it in the sea
"There, that's one less"
He thought me a valuable lesson that morning. Sometimes we can't change everything but we can start somewhere.
We can make a difference no matter how small we think it was or is
