@CptAncapistan Call of Duty didn't definitively dethrone Halo on Xbox until Halo 4 dropped.
Obviously COD4 was more popular than Halo 3 though, it was multi-platform.
@Hosk415691@Jopss05@dontrezme Do you know how the entire Lawless Frontiers gameplay loop works? You need to be able to easily see all of the locations in one screen, or else you'd be constantly clicking between 3 different planets to find the combination you need for tackling contracts and quests.
@Real_Priception@RubyofBlue I have a couple small issues with the OOT remake's visuals but to say it's the same tier as Campaign Evolved is fucking crazy π
@HiddenXperia@PeshkyBee Yeah I never wanted every Halo after to feel like an evolution of Reach (mostly 4 and 5). I wanted it to feel like an evolution of 2 and 3.
@Unixsystem13@Gilgamesh8443@dgant Those same distortions will happen in every single person's game running the same settings. It's the same phenomenon that happens with DLSS upscaling, and AI frame generation.
@Jackoberto01@Gilgamesh8443@dgant It changes the image and how characters look much more than DLSS 5 (when handled appropriately). And that was this guy's complaint.
@oryxeleven@LateNightHalo Sorry for the ramble, but just look at Marathon for an extreme example. I love how unique the new game feels in comparison to those 90s classics, while still feeling like a faithful part of that universe (sorry if I'm poking a fresh wound Chris).
@oryxeleven@LateNightHalo Part of what made the Halo franchise under Bungie work so well is in how different each of those stories felt, while having core elements that unified them all.
You just need leadership that has a good pulse on what works for the IP, and how to expand it.
