Speaking at #SomaliCooperativesAct validation workshop, Sonia Plaza, DRIVE Team Lead at @WorldBank made the case for cooperatives through Somalia's pastoralists: collective market access, fairer livestock prices and financial services that individual producers cannot reach alone.

Speaking at #SomaliCooperativesAct validation workshop, Prof. Ise Halane, Dep. DG of @SomaliaCCI, outlined a framework on accountability, management, market access & formal pathway for groups like Hagbad and Ayuuto to gain legal recognition without losing their cultural identity.

"This policy will protect member rights, attract investment, and give cooperatives a real role in building a more inclusive Somali economy" said Mohamed Abdullahi, Director of SMEs and Cooperatives @mocisom speaking at the National Cooperatives Policy and Act Validation Workshop.
