Loved having my presentation for the International Congress on the Education for the Deaf (ICED) in ASL, Auslan, ISL, captioned and voiced in English. #ICED2021
@foundinblank and I published our fascinating study, probably showing one of the earliest evidence of sign language impact on cognition (youngest age tested was 6.5 months).
Today @DRMeek78 presented on his Dinner Table Syndrome research to my NTID class (all deaf/HH students). It is amazing the diversity yet commonality in our experiences being excluded from human dialogue, a basic atom of life. And it’s done by our own families. #audism
My first solo published paper from the 2019 PAH! Writing Retreat with the support of the mentors. The article is titled Dinner table syndrome: A phenomenological study of deaf individuals' experiences with inaccessible communication. https://t.co/B3Zz4bG6JD
