@Imran_HussainMP We don’t have a tax collection problem - we have a tax spending problem. We need less government, less councils, less politicians, less takers.
@ANMalikSmith Well if you tell 99 people that you are going to tax that one person and redistribute it to the 99 they will agree won’t they … until that one is no longer wealthy or leaves …. Then what? Work your way down ? Until you are taxing the middle classes as wealthy ?
@Jonathan_Hinder The problem with any tax … it always starts small …. Then grows …. So wealth tax for anyone with assets over X amount reduces every year as the number with that wealth reduces - either because of taxation or because they leave. So before long X reduces by 10%, then 20% etc
@ProudSocialist Ironically you’re writing this on a platform of free speech that the people of China are banned from using …. Among many others blocked behind the great firewall.
@BillNorAngus@broc73271 In 2023–24, Scottish universities had ~281,500 students total. Scottish-domiciled students numbered ~173,800 (~60% overall). At undergraduate level, they form ~70–71% (e.g., 126k in 2022/23). Funded places for Scots are capped by the Scottish Government
@Kevin_Maguire I’ll agree it looks bad but ultimately FIFA review panel decided - they could have said it stands as is …. But also FIFA when it suits them …
@RachelKryshak Why do so many Americans dislike their country, is it just TDS? In many other countries a leader asking for a review of an unfair decision would be seen as sticking up for its sportsmen. England should do the same now though. BTW this is not the first suspended suspension.
@Sports_EmmaD Agreed not a good look. Should England try the same with their red card? Laughable that Sepp “Grifter” Blatter has put his oar in given he’s still banned 😂
@marcje74@wholemars Even in the U.K. we are transitioning. Slowly but surely. Sadly by raising taxes on people rather than growing the economy by allowing new oil fields and instead importing oil from the same field from …. Norway 😳
@StoneAgeDodger@A1an_M@Morrisons 100% agree the other 💩 in most bread now folic acid I’d the least of our worries - I think you’d need to eat around 2 loaves a day to exceed levels recognised as a concern anyway.
@terrychristian Never a big fan of you or them to be fair but at least you’ve got the balls to stay on the platform not like Lisa Nandy who wants to just converse in her own little bubble with her head stuck in the sand.
@CharlotteCGill Barbados residents enjoy roughly 10–15x higher GDP per capita, ~15–20 years longer life expectancy, and substantially higher average/net worth per person than the West African regional average.
@A1an_M Over the past 90 days we’ve being doing Eddie Abbew plan - basically Keto. Whole point is to take out all processed food and anything that spikes your insulin. We’ve both lost 2 stone eating steak and eggs!! Never going back to the shit we used to eat.
@larabirdsnp If my youngest son (8) behaved like you did during the swearing in ceremony he’d be sent to his room to reflect on his appalling attitude. As a Scot from Angus I voted SNP for years when its MPs such as Andrew Welsh were reasonable, responsible and respectful.
