#YoungCarersActionDay
On #WorldChildrensDay we celebrate our wonderful young carers here in East Ayrshire and around the world.
Young Carers do what they do with extraordinary loving kindness and we are in awe of them! @EACarers@FPirrie @ryan_eayc @EastAyrshire@eahscp
Our weekly Support Group for registered Carers will be taking place today at our office at 7 Bank Street from 11am till 1pm. We have Stuart McDondald from #iwasgonnae completing a Music Experience each week this month with Carers making their own song

DWP changeover from legacy benefits like Income Support and ESA is happening this year where claimants must move onto Universal Credit, but did you know that the DWP have introduced transitional payment protection to help claimants from having a reduction in their benefit income?
Are you an unpaid Carer living in East Ayrshire? We can provide advice on things like benefits, housing, respite breaks or grants and funds that you may be able to apply for.

If you have a health condition that affects your day to day tasks like getting dressed, preparing meals, managing medication etc, then you may be entitled to a Disability Benefit like Adult Disability Payment, Child Disability Payment or Attendance Allowance.
If you're a Carer for a family member or friend and need help to look into benefits and household income, please get in contact with one of our centres in Cumnock, Dalmellington or Kilmarnock

We are excited to have received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to provide a Lunch Club Support Hub at Dalmellington Carers Centre. We have a vacancy to fill now!
Today we had a huge donation from one of the families that we support, and we would all like to say thank you for thinking about us at the Carers Centre. Massive well done for raising so much funds in such a difficult time.
Families with a child under the age of 6 will be able to claim The new Scottish Child Payment benefit from Nov 2020 if they are in receipt of certain low-income benefits. Give us a call on 01563 571533 if you would like more information.
