@McJuggerNuggets If you had a healthy, normal child that was 3 years old, who was suddenly paralyzed or suffered brain damage in an accident, would you feel morally justified in choosing to end the life of that child?
@AmericaRus2024@JohnRad15 Yes, scarcity is unavoidable. Capitalism allows for anybody that is willing to participate, and even many that can’t/won’t, to survive. In almost every other economic system the world has ever tried, those people don’t survive, and Rad would definitely be one of those.
@JohnRad15@AmericaRus2024 Homeless guy calling someone lazy instead of defending his claim. Sounds about right. No wonder you were homeless. Meanwhile, I’m doing just fine thanks.
@JohnRad15@AmericaRus2024 -define capitalism
-logically explain how homelessness is caused by it
-provide your solution to fix homelessness
Otherwise, shut up
@MaxZepedaSports@OurEsquina Is he also frustrated with himself for not having a lefty ready in the bullpen and instead allowing Burrows to pitch to Cruz with two men on in the sixth inning with a pitch count in the 80’s?
@AlZeidenfeld Fast food jobs, like all jobs, are for whoever is willing to do them at the wage that is being offered. Obviously there are a lot of people willing to accept the wage that’s being offered, so what’s the problem?
@Vern_Funquist How does replay get it wrong? There is no angle definitively shows the swipe tag missed, and because the call on the field was safe, there is nothing replay can do.
@wokal_distance But there is a much easier way to implement a consumption tax, namely by having an actual consumption tax. There should be a fixed tax that every resident and business pays regardless of value, plus a sales tax on all consumption.
@OrevaZSN Yes, I’m sure the bureaucrats in charge of public services will find much better ways to spend that money and the billionaires will continue handing it over in perpetuity.
@_Resnia@BBKogan@DrewPaPa Big difference. Tax revenue does not increase or decrease linearly with tax rates and it can even react inversely. It depends on who is being taxed, at what rate, what they do to avoid taxes, and what they do with money they keep.
@CoreyHusak@BBKogan There is nothing Herculean about cutting spending other than the fact that politicians refuse to do it and there are more voters on the government dole than not.
