The Last 8 years have been a roller coaster ride
I learned
• Physical Fitness has a legacy effect. Nourishing your body and keeping active now ensures a long healthspan.
•The importance of self love and how to stop being my own worst critic
• Embracing my emotions , releasing blocks are the key to my personal development
• No man is an island, relationships are my catalysts for growth
• Time invested into meditation pays back tenfold in terms of clarity, creativity and confidence
• slow and steady energetic practice builds stable energetic channels necessary for kundalini awakening
• Spirituality is the answer to our collective existential angst.
Backstory:
I had 2 quarter life crises.
Once in 2015
after going through 5 years of medical school,
after working on-call 36 hour days for 2 years straight,
After all that I thought I left housemanship hell behind once I became a medical officer.
I hope things will be better,
but I was really stuck in a dead end role.
My boss threatened that I will have no job progress unless I entered specialist training.
Something deep in me said NO.
That's not what my soul wanted, that’s not for me.
Personally It felt wrong for me to specialize and then subspecialize like everyone else
It just didnt make sense to me.
I instinctively knew like many healers do, that the body cannot be compartmentalized.
Because I needed to keep the job to support my family, I diligently carried on
Yet always felt unhappy inside.
Then I realized I was only working to live up to family expectations and struggled with the decision to quit my job.
Disillusioned, I distracted myself with investing and ended up drowning in $97,000 debt.
I disappointed all who are dear to me.
My budding marriage placed on the precipice
Pain gripped my very existence.
Emotionally devastated,
I hopped on a one-way ticket from Malaysia to Chile,
I cycled 1850km to clear my head.
The world did not go easy on me, neither did I.
The days of cycling alone in the freezing dead of winter, contrasted with the burn of self immolation,
I drenched myself in tears over and over,
until I realized:
Everyone makes mistakes.
Though we try our best,
sometimes shit just happens no matter what you do.
Hindsight is 20/20.
That's where all the unfair self blame comes from.
I know I cannot carry on like this,
I will not step out of the shadow unless I forgive myself.
I clearly recall that day I accepted myself, warts and all, dancing on a hilltop without any self consciousness or shame of being noticed.
The unlocking of my own shackles, freed the inner light within me and intuition started knocking on my door.
I was Guided to visit particular places,
and I met many kindred spirits.
Iridologists, herbalists, Reiki Practitioners, a nurse who astral travelled, and a budding Shaman.
During the trip, I had the opportunity to provide free acupuncture services in return for kindness I received.
I thoroughly enjoyed those sessions.
I am meant to heal.
Being a doctor is a calling,
not merely a job that pays the bills.
I became assured that things will turn out well.
I regained confidence in myself and returned to medicine with renewed purpose and vigor.
At that time, I interpreted the signs:
my calling is to be the bridge between eastern and western medicine.
I kept that mission front and center when I came home and started a practice of Western medicine coupled with acupuncture services.
Fast forward some years, I migrated and worked in a hospital serving the elderly while I constantly upgraded my tool kit.
I trained in
- hypnosis
- hypnobirthing
- Vipassana meditation
- internal medicine
- family medicine
- energy practices
- Parenthood (^.^)V
Quarter Life Crisis. Redux
2020-2023
I thought I was happy and comfortable,
working closely with nurses and my allied health colleagues
But it wasn't long before I felt thwarted at work.
Ever since joining the institution,
my superiors frowned upon any mention of alternative therapies.
They shook their head at acupuncture.
They closed their minds even to Mindfulness and meditation.
A practice that has tons of scientific backing!
They said No to the use of hypnosis in my keynote address as it is "misleading and confusing".
I was getting accolades and accomplishments in my job, but they denied my promotion.
I felt persecuted for my open-mindedness.
Indeed I was outspoken for what I felt benefits my patients.
Strong feelings of impostor syndrome riddled my psyche with holes.
Am I not good enough?
What is wrong with me?
Am I the one being difficult?
Or is it that the current medical establishment has no room for me?
Low grade anxiety and insomnia plagued me,
but I persevered.
I survived by keeping mum and toeing the line.
Then, something snapped the day I was lied to my face for the umpteenth time.
I stuffed my inner voice through the years,
because I had cosy comfortable position
But this time, I had enough.
I quit.
Lost and adrift,
I am smacked into my 2nd quarter life crisis.
Bureacracy prevented me from switching jobs in this foreign land.
I have no job, no income, and no self worth.
During my dark night of the soul,
A transcendental event helped me find my bearings.
• I made breakthroughs in connecting with my spirit guides- something I've been struggling for years.
• I had a safe, gentle Kundalini awakening which I didn't even ask for
• The signs in Chile- to bridge western and eastern medicine, That was playing it small.
This time the visions were crystal clear.
The bridge i need to build is far wider than I imagined.
My medical background,
my understanding of the Biofield realm,
together with my experience of spirituality
Comes together
I'm in the best position to be
the bridge between science and spirituality,
medicine and mysticism.
I exited my 2nd Quarter Life crises
with a renewed sense of purpose.
a bullet-proof motivation
a vow to not let any living, breathing moment go to waste.
Now, I have a compulsion to share what I learnt throughout these 8 years to help others accelerate their personal growth and spiritual journey.

I was a flying doctor in Sabah, Borneo, going where roads can't. Responded to calls deep in the jungle. It's about serving those where geography isolates them. We lost 5 souls in Sarawak yesterday — serving in unseen corners, they’re real heroes. We must make their work safer.
Life’s problems are like tangled hair — messy, painful, and frustrating. But with patience, compassion, and the right touch, knots loosen.
This is the essence of the Holistic Human philosophy:
🧠 Mind
🌿 Body
🌌 Soul
When we tend to them gently, life flows smooth again. 🌊
Mindfulness is the courageous act of sitting with your own chaos instead of handing your peace over to something external—a screen, a substance, a person.
