Beached whale update‼️
The Oregon Parks Department says the whale was given IV fluids overnight and covered with blankets to keep it cool.

Right now, response teams are arranging a pulley system they hope will pull it towards the ocean by high tide.

The young humpback whale was found beached in San Marine, just outside of Yachats, on Saturday after getting entangled in crabbing gear.

Officials are asking the public to please stay away from the scene to allow rescue efforts to proceed safely.

The 142nd Wing will be conducting routine F-15 night training missions this week, from October 20-23.

Night training allows our pilots to stay current with mandatory Air Force requirements. Training flights will be completed each evening before 10:00 p.m.

Crews arrived to find five rail cars who have derailed. Fire crews are on scene working to stabilize the rail cars. There are currently no hazardous materials that have spilled.
