It was a pleasure to have our chief metallurgist @DRusizana, on the "model mines" panel. He shared how @GAMICO has embraced the mechanization of minerals processing to effectively add value to our cassiterite resources. This has significantly increased the mineral recovery rate.

This afternoon, Prime Minister Dr. Ngirente visited Rukaragata mine in Ngororero District. The mine owned by Power M is specialized in extraction of coltan and cassiterite.
@PaulaZimb@matinyarare As an expert, any solid data showing how much of the exports are illegal versus legit, I’d be curious to see it. My question for you is there any tin mines in DRC? Apart from Alphamin
@RwandaMinesB@FrancisKamanzi1@NgororeroDistr I suggest: 1. Create clear sampling points; feed, con and tails. 2. Minimise spillages as much as possible - this will significantly reduce # of shovelers; have more than 10 cleaners in smaller plant like this with no single samplers doesn’t look professional at all. Good luck
@RwandaMinesB@FrancisKamanzi1@NgororeroDistr Each equipment in this plant looks to be high end. Based on the photos, I am convinced that this plant metal % recovery is still almost the same as for sluicing operations. If they are still in commissioning stage - ok but I don’t think so - no samplers instead shovelers.
