@BBCCiN Hedgehog Class at Badgerbrook Primary School are excited to join in with #BBCChildrenInNeed
We’re ready for some gladiator fun. Gladiator poses incoming!
Owl Class have thoroughly enjoyed designing and building their Stone Age shelters - fit for any Lego Stone Age family! They chose to build their structures out of natural materials, binding sticks together to make a frame before adding suitable shelter from the wind and rain.
Hedgehog class have been busy designing, weighing, grating and kneading this week. They’ve made their own bread loaf with an added ingredient. Excellent work Year 2!
Year 1 had lots of fun visiting Newark’s Houses Museum. They explored a range of past and present toys and discussed what each toy was made from and how this has changed over the years. After that, they really enjoyed looking around the museum and its gardens.
The children at Badgerbrook have really enjoyed learning vibrant dances in the style of Bollywood and Indian folk dance this week! They were also taught about traditional props and how these are used.
Year 6 enjoyed an ASB Busters (anti-social behaviour) workshop from @BlabyDC today! We now know what anti-social behaviour is and what to do if we see it happening.
Year 2 had a great day in London this week. They cruised the river Thames and found the site where Thomas Farriner’s. bakery once stood. It was a wonderful day of learning!
As part of our Bright for Bodie day, Hedgehog class made kindness puzzles to share with someone they care about. We also decided on having a compliment captain and a helpful hero as two new classroom jobs.
Today, we went Bright for Bodie. We learned about The Bodie Hodges Foundation and the work they do to support families who have lost a child. In our KS1 and Year 3 assembly, we discussed kindness and how we could support the charity too.
In support of Go Bright for Bodie, Class Woodpecker took a moment to engage in a variety of creative ways to show their loved ones what they mean to them and why they make them a happier person.
It has been a lovely way to round off an incredible start to the year.
Year 6 are busy this afternoon thinking about ways that they can brighten up somebody’s day in aid of ‘Go Bright for Bodie’. Parents - you may be in for some nice surprises over half term!
In Squirrel class we have been creating cards poems to brighten someone’s day for Go Bright for Bodie. The whole class have come in bright and colourful clothes for the Bodie Hodges Foundation.
Today Year 1 enjoyed a sunny walk to the postbox. We have learning about our local area and where we live. We wrote our address on the front of an envelope and sent a postcard home inside it. We can’t wait for the postman to come!
