So if we're going back that far we're just going to dismiss the 360, 000 plus union soldiers that gave their lives. If the descendants of those who were oppressed can carry the burden should not the descendants of those lost soldiers garner something. And there is much more complexity than a simple paragraph could encompass. I'm descendant from French Canadians, first American of my family. My ancestors had nothing to do with any of it but I'm put in the same box? Way to take us backwards.
