@ckparrot Option3: keep & IR him. If no trade, it will be hard to compete this year, they wont have a ton of $ to fill holes @ FA start. A post 6/1 cut gives them money later but who can they spend 45m on then? Theyll just carry over to offset next years dead money. Really no rush to act.
@ckparrot@AdrianCrisostim Playing with overthecap’s roster builder, unless they find a way to trade Tue (doubtful), I don’t see a path to them having more than $20M in cap space. And that’s only if they don’t designate anyone a post June1 cut and restructure Chubb. Not sure how they’d afford Willis
@the_real_reason Or…they are already paying him, know this season isn’t going to be great and Hafley is waiting for someone’s contract to be up after next season.
@DouglieDoWrong FWIW during hard knocks he told a story about how he has to be really careful in the sun because of his battle with skin cancer. I doubt he would ever want to coach in Miami full time.
@SiClancy@lookingglass401 Do we not remember how much of a joke he was with his speech on Hard Knocks? I’m afraid he is the McDaniel of defense. We need a coach that can communicate and lead men, not just scheme.
@OmarKelly but theyre likely setting up for a tanking season so the advantage is a coach will get a fresh new QB in 2027. Combine that with 2 drafts under Sully (plus the positive core from 25), the vision for ‘27+ is bright.
That said this is why Campanile or young coach is better.
