NOPE
I was desperate to find wildlife on my trip to the Wichita National Wildlife Refuge. In my search, I had found some... droppings... which grew fresher and fresher the more I hiked. I eventually found a family of longhorns, all enjoying a morning graze next to a creek. (1/3)
I carefully climbed down the mountain I was on, paying close attention to body language. In this photo, the calf sees me for the first time. Shortly after this photo, momma saw me and that's when I *promptly* returned to my vehicle. (2/3)
Red Prairie
In the bitter cold of a January sunrise in the plains of Oklahoma, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to capture this experience. The sun christened a new day with gorgeous reds against the rustling plains in the foreground. Even on the coldest days, the sun rises.

When checking out my photos, you might see some funny numbers at the end of each post. I'm a believer in sharing the camera settings used for each shot, so that fellow photographers can critique and learn. They are the DNA of photography, telling each photo's unique story. #DSP
