@timbhealey and he's worried about what fans are saying. That's the problem. So are we just going to kick out every mean fan in Boston or New York to appease this guy? Dude would have never made it in the 90s.
@BOSSportsGordo Kicking people out for lame comments is soft. It won't stop if they know it gets to him. This guy needs to be traded, but his value as of now is gross. Grow up, you're in a better place than you were and ignore the noise. Work on hitting the ball.
@ChrisCotillo Way too worried about fans. This league is soft. Yeah is it nasty for people to say personal and sensitive things? Sure, but focus on hitting and not on what other people are doing or saying. His softness is indicative of the entire team.
@ChrisCotillo They need to trade this guy. Not only is he a guaranteed K out, he's mentally weak. You can't play in Boston or in this league and expect fans not to chirp and then kick them out. Deal with it. You're a man, you have a past now get on with it.
@Savageboston@PatsPro_21 I think it'd be wiser to either trade for exceptional Edge, or sign an edge for depth. Then, I would look at vet deals for TE, LB. I think WR is fine. You aren't getting Diggs for a Vet deal. Trade Boutte or Pop (99 pct likely it's Boutte) and extend Gonzo.
@LosTalksPats@patscap@LosTalksPats Thoughts on what Bedard is saying? He says people need to evaluate the Pats three year window and how much they have after that instead of this year alone. Outside of AJ, I think we are done adding anything major. Expect depth adds at best and draft.
@noah_tigerrr18@iSkizm@LosTalksPats@patscap But the idea that they'll spend it is misleading if you take into account the reporting that Bedard and others have done---it's not about this year alone it's about the 3 year window and where they are at. In other words, they'll spend if AJ is in play but don't expect much more
@noah_tigerrr18@iSkizm@LosTalksPats@patscap I think you checked after they signed them like I did, but it didn't list their cap hit when I checked. The reporting that they have 30 or so in cap is prob right....
@HebHammer94 You could look at it as the Pats are officially in rebuild year 2, and less likely to bitch their off-season like The Sox have. And as far as being a Boston fan, not one of our teams this year is a losing team with all contenders. If Bres gets real, he can still salvage it.
@gingersnaphyde And you're likely looking at a 400th time here in the near future. They have to overpay with prospects if they want to prospect trade, but if they want the kind of player we all want, they'll have to give a major league talent as well in the trade. I don't see it.
@jimfurtado@timbhealey@PeteAbe I was thinking of this earlier. I'm actually surprised more of the 'Boston personalities' aren't exclusively Bluesky judging by their obvious discontent for the fanbase and how they mock them daily in their radio show as a step below and stupid.
@tylermilliken_@alexspeier There's no saving face for this offseason. Management talked a big game they couldn't and wouldn't back up.. they had to pivot and pivot and finally it's just the FO trying to make themselves look smart and calculated when everyone in the classroom is laughing at their stupidity
@gingersnaphyde@PokeTown06@AstrosKnower To me, that would make no sense. Why would I want to trade one of my home run hitters when I have a deficit for home runs? With Duran as the chip, you would at least be gaining some pop.
Abreu healthy is a 25-30 HR hitter. Duran healthy has been a 15-20 HR hitter. Parades 20-30
@bradfo Was this the approach all along or the default approach? It seems like Bres is trying to wiggle his way out of disaster with the attempt of 'We were always going for deep pitching and run prevention' over 'we need some meat in the middle, some depth, and better our defense.'
Remember when Vrabel and Pats front office blinked not once to get Milton Williams. The Sox should have had this approach and look how it paid off for the Pats.
