We need a better schooling system for ASN kids! My kids school is suppose to be Austism certified but they don’t know their arse from their elbow. My kid is always coming out disregulated & he doesn’t want to go to school at all! He’s 6 & non verbal he can’t tell me exactly what goes on in school!

It recently came out from other parents that their kids were locked in a room while deregulated to the point they had accidents! If it was the parents doing that they’d have social work at their doors! I have a whole list of shit this school has done or isn’t capable of doing! Just because our kids have additional needs doesn’t mean they should be treated any less human! In the process of trying to move out cause my local council don’t let ASN parents homeschool… fucking ridiculous! Our bad for wanting to do what’s best for our kids!

@4chachee He was so peaceful! Everyone including the kids here in Scotland were super respectful & gave him the space he needed to be able to heal & rest as much as he needed! He travelled along our coast visiting a fair few harbours! He’s just absolutely beautiful!

Dear Norway.

You don't know us. But we have spent the last four weeks watching a walrus you are about to meet.

His name is Magnus. He is approximately 2.5 metres long and weighs several hundred kilograms. He arrived in your waters this week after a 368-mile crossing from Scotland.

His last act in Scotland was swimming alongside students during a sailing lesson. Then he turned north and crossed the North Sea to you.

We want to tell you about the three weeks before that crossing. Because what happened in Scotland is the reason Magnus is alive and healthy enough to have made that journey.

He arrived in Orkney on 16 April with a wound on his flipper. There was blood pooled under his body on the pier and people feared the worst. BDMLR volunteers assessed him. Police Scotland issued guidance. A cordon went up. The public — almost without exception — kept their distance. Hundreds came to watch him. They brought their children. They stood in silence. They kept 100 metres. They called the hotline when they saw him, not social media.

A hundred primary school children stood at a harbour wall in Findochty and didn't make a sound so he could rest. Their BDMLR medic was so moved she went back to their school to teach them more.

He visited six Scottish harbours. He rolled off a pontoon in his sleep. He tried to climb a harbour wall three times and failed. He ate. He rested. He healed.

By the time Magnus reached Hopeman, BDMLR confirmed his wounds had closed. He was strong enough to cross 368 miles of open North Sea.

Scotland gave him that strength by simply staying back.

We know what you did to Freya. We know about the patrol boat and the night and the statute. We know about the statue you built her after. We know its name — For Our Sins.

Magnus doesn't know any of this. He chose your coast without knowing its history. He is on a floating dock at Buerholmen right now, tired from the crossing, in the sun, asking for nothing except to be left alone to rest.

Norway — you named a statue For Our Sins. That name means you know what you did was wrong.

Here is your chance to do something different with that knowledge.

No patrol boats. No night visits. A cordon if crowds gather. Trained wildlife responders. Information rather than barriers. Distance rather than decisions.

Scotland gave Magnus three weeks. He gave Scotland a story people will tell for years.

My sweet girl was recently diagnosed with CCD or doggy dementia.

Truly hope her meds start to kick in soon, to help her cope with her episodes, takes 6-8 weeks for them to start working! There’s no cure but we can try make her life easier with what time we have left! 😭
