In his remarks, the Global Chief Operating Officer, Wasantha Perera remarked that he believes Africa has the capacity to do much more to expand the textile industry in alignment with the growing demand coming into to region.

The @InstituteGC (TBI) organized a West Africa Textile and Apparel Roadshow aimed at facilitating investors and apparel sourcing in the textile and apparel industry. The roadshow took place from the 13th to the 18th of November, 2022.

During the roadshow, Marc Hansult said “there is a tremendous opportunity for the apparel manufacturing industry in Ghana and beyond as DTRT has the potential to grow and double the current operations from over 5000 to 10,000 associates over the next three to four years”.

The sports day helped us in bringing both factories together & strengthening our bond with one another. Looking forward to the future, we plan on hosting next year’s sports day for at least 5000 associates as we continue to expand.

We recently held the annual Dignity DTRT Sports Day at Elwak Stadium-Accra. Over 3000 associates from Tema & Accra were present.

The event saw various teams from both plants competing in a variety of sports disciplines for glory, bragging rights, and of course a trophy.

It was also a day for everyone to enjoy themselves and relax.
The winners didn’t just receive trophies & bragging rights, they also received medals & cash prizes.

Madam Salma Salifu, Marc Hansult & Wasantha Perera presented these rewards to the associates.
