Toastmasters District 65 Conference occurred from May 1st & 2nd in Buffalo. Our very own Steve Bader took 1st in the Humorous Speech Contest and Khushboo Salian took home 3rd in the International Speech Contest!

Downtown Toastmasters is proud of Steve Bader and Khushboo Salian, who respectively won the division humorous and International speech contests. They compete this weekend during our Toastmasters District 65 conference.

Our final Toastmasters District 65 conference has been helmed by so many Downtown Toastmasters members. Our club is proud of Debbie Hunt, Glenn Gordon, and many others who have made the conference a specular event. This will be a fantastic sendoff for Toastmasters District 65!

Congrats to Steve and Jeremy on their respective first and third place finishes in the Area Tall Tales competition. Both Toastmasters will compete in the next level of the contest.

Tomorrow is Downtown Toastmaster's District Tall Tales Contest. Our contest master, Khushboo Salian, will host a contest with four participants: Steve Bader, Marley (McKenica) Wilkins, Jeremy Stott, and Sasha Nivar. Join us tomorrow as these toastmasters tell tall tales!

Downtown Toastmasters began the year on July 1st w/several exciting events. We had a special fishbowl meeting on the 18th, a meeting when all the roles—from speaking to evaluations, table topics, and even Toastmaster—were picked from a hat. Our summer picnic is on August 15th/1

Downtown Toastmasters of Buffalo is currently meeting at 7:30 AM each Friday. Meetings are held at Buffalo State, Caudell Hall, Room 110. Parking is available in front of the building. Members and guests are encouraged to come 10-15 minutes early to set up the room and mingle!/1

When you enter the building, look for the Toastmasters banner! Room 110 is in the foyer of the Russell J. Salvatore Demonstration Kitchen and Culinary Theatre. Come early to meet members and get your guest packet before the meeting starts!/2

Friday's open house was a success! Huge thank you to special guest @AaronCh7Weather, Chief Meteorologist at @WKBW for coming in and sharing his experience with #toastmasters & answering questions. It was a very inspiring event, and we all learned a lot about meteorology!😊🌥
