@JayKogen @mkasen The last 3 years have been challenging for me too. Health problems, and more change than I was ready to handle. I can’t say I’ve found it particularly joyful, but I have learned and grown and I think become a more patient, empathetic, realistic, and resilient person.

@LauraJSilverman Sorry about your Covid. Judging by mask-wearing, 99% of LA, NY, Rome, and Miami seem to believe it’s over. The only place I saw everyone masked indoors was the private parts of the Vatican. If they’re outsciencing all us Jews, the world has turned upside down. Get well soon.

@JayKogen The problem is illegal use of guns, not legal use. Trying to ban cheap, easily made and smuggled guns is like trying to ban drugs. It might save some lives, but it is unlikely to be possible or effective. The real issue here is mental health, and school bullying.

@JayKogen I agree with everything said so far and also feel that more restrictive gun laws would make us safer. But I also think there’s this other side to the issue: the vast majority of shootings and gun deaths come from cheap, easily available hand guns. Cont’d:
