We had presentations in school today, and Nigeria featured in four students' works. The first student analyzed Nigeria's oil economy with Norway's. The second discussed Nigeria's smallholding farmers and Ghana's.
Another focused on Nigeria's electricity access and Kenya’s. Another presented on Nigeria's educational spending and out-of-school children, comparing them with South Africa and Kenya’s, based on SDGs 4.1.
One common thread was that Nigeria can't be ignored; everyone is interested in Nigeria. Nigeria was a bad case example in all. And each time Nigeria is mentioned, everyone will shout Victorrrrrr.
One student asked me: what is it about Nigeria.
You can be active in church…
and still be spiritually dry.
You can sing, serve, show up
but inside, the fire is low.
Spiritual dryness doesn’t mean you hate God.
It means your soul needs water again.

Wow. Nigerian Christians DEFIANT in the face of the mass slaughter by Islamists forcing them to convert or die. They will rather pick death than bow.
“We will never submit to Islam”
“Allah is a demon”
The media is refuses to cover the atrocities going on against Christians.
The left completely dismisses this & some even on the right are embarrassing Islam & refuse to speak up about what’s happening to our fellow brothers & sisters in Nigeria.
It’s up to us to Share these stories & pray for the Nigerian Christians
I was reading John 4 and it was a bit funny how ruthlessly pragmatic the woman at the well was.
Jesus tells her about living water that permanently quenches thirst. Her immediate response in verse 15 is essentially: “sir, give me that so I don't have to keep coming to this well”.
She was not thinking spiritually at all. She was thinking very operationally. If there's a solution that removes the daily burden, she wants it. That’s the soul of a startup founder. Identify the friction, eliminate it, and move on.
Culturally this hits harder when you notice she's drawing water at noon, the hottest part of the day.
Women typically came in the morning or evening. She came at noon cos she was avoiding people. So in her mind the equation was simple, if this water removes the need to return, it removes the labor and the social exposure in one move.
Then verse 19 is almost funnier. Jesus just exposed her entire romantic history, he tells her she had five husbands, and that the current man isn't even her husband.
That's the kind of moment that should stop a person cold. She processes it for exactly one verse and then says: "since you're clearly a prophet, settle a debate we've been having for centuries about whether worship belongs in Jerusalem or on this mountain." 😂
She immediately instrumentalizes the revelation. The prophet became a resource she can deploy.
But underneath the humor is something worth sitting with. The personal exposure was too hot. She pivoted to theology cos doctrine is easier to debate than truth is to receive. This is a move humans have been making ever since.
What strikes me though is that her misreading of Jesus isn't because she's unintelligent. It's cos her categories were fixed. Living water sounded like plumbing. A prophet sounded like a debate referee.
She was standing in front of the Messiah and still translating everything into frameworks she already had.
And the irony is that the very thing she was running from; people, is what she ran toward the moment she understood who she was talking to.
The woman who came to the well at noon to avoid a crowd went back into town and started one.
The person most determined to avoid people became the first evangelist to them.
The framework broke. And when it broke, everything changed.
That's the warning in the story. You can be standing directly in front of something that reorganizes everything and still miss it entirely, not because you're not paying attention, but because you're only capable of hearing what your existing grid allows you to hear.
Which means even when you know the text. You must remain open to being surprised by it.
Spiritual warfare 101 - No matter how overwhelmed you “feel” inside, never show the devil. You see, the devil is NOT Omniscient, so he does not know all things. The things he knows about us are things said and spoken of us. Or the things we let out from our mouths ourselves or by our reactions and actions. So while you may be overwhelmed in your soul, the way he gets to know is from your reaction. And because he is a wicked and oppressive entity, when he knows where it hurts, he robs it in the more.
But responding in praise confounds him. This is exactly the rationale behind the idea that praise confuses the enemy. Because he can’t understand why his onslaught is not causing you to give up and give in.
So beloved saints of God, regardless how you feel right now, find a way to release your praise !
“14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.”
Psalm 71:14.
You are BLESSED 🙂

Studying the Earth involves more time downloading files than analysing them.
The European Space Agency holds 90 petabytes of planetary data, and they just fundamentally changed how anyone interacts with it.
For years, working with Copernicus Sentinel data meant pulling massive files from SAFE archives. You had to store them locally, install mission-specific software, and navigate formats built before cloud computing existed. If you wanted to check a single scene for cloud cover, you couldn't just glance at it. You paid a massive upfront cost in time and hard drive space.
That era is now over. ESA's transitioning Sentinel data to Zarr, a cloud-native format that treats data as an API instead of a static file.
So ESA has now launched the EOPF Sentinel Zarr Explorer. Everything happens directly from cloud storage. You don't download a single megabyte of raw data to your machine.
The workflow starts with discovery. The platform uses STAC, meaning you browse the massive catalogue using open community standards. You locate the exact coordinates and timeframes you need instantly.
Then you look at the data. You can load a Sentinel-1 radar or Sentinel-2 optical scene right in your web browser.
Analysis happens in the exact same environment through openEO Studio. You write Python code in your browser, define a processing graph, and execute it. A researcher can track algal blooms in the Venice Lagoon by computing a Normalised Difference Chlorophyll Index, and the result appears instantly as an interactive map. The barrier between a hypothesis and a working environmental analysis is now just a few lines of code.
The developers actively avoided building a walled garden. They collaborated directly with the wider community to establish modular geospatial conventions. Because they built on open standards, desktop tools like QGIS and libraries like GDAL can read the exact same data without any proprietary plugins.
Anyone with a web browser can now run analyses that used to require a dedicated computational lab.
