The Dark Tower (2017) is one of my favourite films of all time. Yes, I know lot's of fans didn't care for it because it wasn't true to the order of the books, and the books are better than the film overall, but I loved seeing the Gunslinger come to life on the big screen!

There are many great titans of horror, but no one person has influenced modern day horror as much as Stephen King has & that's not including his influence on all other genre's. He raised all things spooky to their best. There's a reason 1 of his nicknames is The King Of Horror!👑

@glenmazzara It is a shame. You and your team put all the work into the show and even finished an episode yet Amazon won't release that which is finished anyhow? I think they're afraid of looking like fools for cancelling it if people actually see the show and love it, which is very likely.

Another thing The Dark Tower movie got right was the look of The Tower itself. Everything about it evokes a magnificence us mere humans can't possibly comprehend. The only Tower onscreen that competes with Sauron's.

@FoxesSnakes @Ubiquitine You definitely should. I hadn't read the books for a few years when I saw the movie in the theatre and I think this helped to open my mind a lot to it. The movie has the characters, the universe, quotes, and themes of the books mostly.

@FoxesSnakes @Ubiquitine I see why some call it a bad adaptation, but I think they are being slightly too harsh about it cause it still contains very DT original stuff. I appreciate the film greatly as a film judged of it's own accord. Some readers can't do this but I can because I love both arts so much

@JuliusSqueezer0 I love that idea. I've always wanted an animated Dark Tower Movie or TV Series with the look of the Graphic Novels, as long as we get live action films first preferably.

@SteveTalksBooks Sounds scary already. The Shining I found scariest because it's a perfect mixture of suspense, tension, mental fear, horrifying images, and it's downright creepy but with the most beautiful tale to tell at the same time.

@Geekusa1887 I'm glad you love it. You don't have to think it's your fav to enjoy it cause the series does have high standards. I also think King was figuring out his voice but that's exactly what makes the book have a special quality that noneof his other books repeat as much in the same way
