Celebrating years of tradition in the Northeast UK Smash scene, DUEG are hosting the invitational 'Northeast Smash Summit' on Saturday 6th June featuring many of Durham & Newcastle's finest, plus lots of talent from elsewhere in the North.

The event will feature the 'C-Sides', an assortment of indie game challenges to enjoy on the day. We'll also be hosting a Combo Contest for Ultimate & Melee, with cash prizes to those who perform the best in the contest and the C-Sides overall.

With that being said, sign ups to King of the Hill: Time Trials closes in just over a week on the 9th March, during the tournament 3 participants will qualify to the NE Summit!

During King of the Hill: Time Trials, there are 8 stations for participants to try out. Here are the selection of games along with their challenges!

Anyone is free to attempt any of the stations so why not give it a try! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Not only that, around the venue there will be various stations with some of our favourite games, the challenge is to complete the selected time trials/individual level speedruns as quickly as possible to win 'stars'. Those who collect the most stars will win prizes!

Aside from the adjustment above, the "sniping" rule will also be removed. Players from out of region will qualify upon winning a TLC weekly in Durham, without needing to attend 3 other events.

After reading through feedback, the top 2 highest placing attendees at King of the Hill from out of region will also qualify for NE Summit.

That being said, our next 2 qualified players from the regional are therome5 and Pym, along side Joykong and Trinity!
