Civics recently took center stage on NBC’s @TODAYshow!
Excited to see Barrett Hodorek and Maanha Nasir -- who represented their states in the National Civics Bee -- featured alongside TODAY’s @JennaBushHager and @SheinelleJones for a spirited, multi-category showdown that celebrated the importance of civic engagement.
At the Daniels Fund, our Big Bet on civics, would bring civics education to 1 million more young people. And we're proud to be the Founding Sponsor of the National Civics Bee.
Civics education helps teach students the responsibilities we share as citizens.

In a new Deseret News opinion piece, Steve Miller, chairman of the board of the Larry H. Miller Company and Hanna Skandera, President and CEO of the Daniels Fund, share why expanding access to youth sports is about far more than the chance to play.
The piece highlights the expansion of the highly successful Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day to Utah! This new effort, spearheaded by Miller Sports + Entertainment and the Larry H. and Gail Miller Family Foundation, along with the Daniels Fund, will help get more Utah kids off the sidelines and into the game -- overcoming financial barriers that shut too many young people out. More Utah boys and girls will learn confidence, grit and teamwork through sports.
Watch for more details on Youth Sports Giving Day -- coming in September in CO and UT!

This week, Daniels Scholars from across Metro Denver had the pleasure of joining Colorado’s aerospace community at the State Capitol—engaging with industry leaders, exploring future careers, and building meaningful connections.
From a dedicated careers panel with leaders at United Launch Alliance, Lockheed Martin, and Agile Space Industries to a formal recognition on the House floor, the day highlighted both the promise of these students and the opportunities ahead of them.
We’re proud to support experiences that connect Daniels Scholars to real-world pathways and help prepare them for lives of purpose and impact.

Last week was an exciting milestone in the Daniels Scholarship process as we welcomed an inspiring group of students for interviews. Each conversation offered a glimpse into the talent, determination, and character of young people who are working hard to shape a brighter future.
This important step would not be possible without the dedicated community leaders who generously volunteer their time to serve as interviewers. Their insight and commitment play an essential role in identifying the next generation of Daniels Scholars.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make this week possible and look forward to welcoming the next class of Daniels Scholars.
This Presidents Day, we honor a tradition of service that extends beyond any one moment in history.
Bill Daniels believed that leadership is ultimately about people — about expanding opportunity, strengthening communities, and acting with integrity.
As we reflect on our nation’s leaders, we are reminded that the true measure of leadership is the impact it leaves behind.
Our team is on the ground in New Mexico as scholarship interviews kick off this week. Interviews are coming up in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. It’s an exciting and important moment in the selection process for our new class of Daniels Scholars! We're excited to meet these outstanding finalists as they take the next step in this journey. Good luck to all of you!
Carrying the flame with Dale O'Blia 🔥
One of the many athletes supported by the Daniels Fund and their scholarship opportunities, Dale O’Blia carried the flame in Bergamo, a city symbolizing endurance across generations and the future of sport.
Inspired by his lifelong love of youth sport, Bill Daniels built a legacy of opportunity and belief in the potential of every person. Through the Daniels Fund and initiatives like Podium34, that impact continues through and expanding youth sport access on the road to Utah 2034.

The reckless spending of Colorado’s Democrat-led legislature has blown through a $3.8 billion surplus in just three years, leaving hardworking families without their rightful TABOR refunds.
Even today, on the 33rd anniversary of Colorado’s Taxpayer Bill of Rights, the Colorado legislature is meeting in Denver, looking for sneaky new ways to outfox Colorado taxpayers and dismantle TABOR.
As your governor, I will prioritize common-sense fiscal responsibility—plain and simple! No “surprise fees” or state-run “enterprises” to skirt TABOR.
Coloradans should keep more of their hard-earned money. When I’m governor, they will.

Let’s do this— together we WILL take back Colorado.
I stand firmly behind our law enforcement officers who bravely protect our communities each day. They deserve our respect and gratitude, no question.
We are a nation of laws, yet here in Colorado, our Democrat controlled legislature has passed sanctuary legislation that effectively thumbs its nose at the rule of law. This sends a message that we don't prioritize the safety of our citizens. Instead, we have invited chaos, which is unacceptable.
Just this week, we witnessed the arrest of a member of the Tren de Aragua gang in Colorado Springs. This is not just an isolated incident; Colorado has become a refuge for dangerous foreign gangs. Under Democratic control, our state has become a breeding ground for criminal activity that threatens our families and communities. Dangerous gangs are dealing drugs, trafficking women and children, and wreaking havoc in our neighborhoods.
Recent protests in Denver against law enforcement, while cloaked in the guise of social justice, are fueled by a broader agenda to undermine our police officers. It is time for us to recognize that this rhetoric against our law enforcement is not just an attack on ICE; it is an assault on all law enforcement agencies across the nation.
As your governor, I will put an end to this madness.
We will no longer tolerate sanctuary policies that harbor criminals and undermine the very foundation of our society. Instead, we will focus on restoring order and ensuring that Colorado families can live without fear. This is not just about politics; it's about the well-being of our communities and the future of our children.
We stand at a crossroads in this nation. We must choose between being a society governed by the rule of law or descending into chaos and destruction. I believe deeply in strong law enforcement, and I will always support those who protect Coloradans.
Nicolás Maduro's capture marks a vital step toward accountability and security.
His regime allowed Tren de Aragua gang members to infiltrate U.S. communities, including Colorado, endangering public safety.
As decisive action delivered justice abroad, the same is needed at home.
When elected Governor, I will direct state law enforcement to dismantle Tren de Aragua operations, prosecute members fully, and ensure they face permanent consequences in Colorado.
