POLICE SEEK ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING 71-YEAR-OLD MISSING MAN

Vosloorus SAPS are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a 71-year-old man, Lerato Paulos Mabote, who was reported #missing by his son on 13 September 2026. He has not yet been located.

Mr Mabote was last seen in the Vosloorus area wearing a black round-neck jersey with grey patches on the front, grey and red tracksuit trousers, and black sandals. He is approximately 6.7 feet tall. It is believed that, due to his age, Mr Mabote may be confused or disoriented and may not know where he is. Members of the public are therefore requested to be on the lookout for him, including outside the Vosloorus area, as he is known to be capable of walking long distances before experiencing difficulty walking.

Anyone who may have seen Mr Mabote or has information that could assist in locating him is urged to contact Vosloorus SAPS Sgt Mototo on 011 960 0264/5/6 or Sgt Mabote on 074 368 3873.

Information can also be provided to the Crime Stop hotline on 08600 10111 or anonymously via the MySAPS App.

The SAPS appeals to anyone who may have information to come forward so that Mr Mabote can be safely reunited with his family.

POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION TO LOCATE MISSING SOSHANGUVE WOMAN

The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Soshanguve is appealing to the public for assistance in locating 33-year-old Kutlwano Masilo, who was reported #missing.

Masilo was last seen on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, in Block F, Soshanguve. Her current whereabouts are unknown, and police are conducting an investigation into her disappearance.

Anyone who may have information that could assist police in locating Kutlwano Masilo is urged to contact Soshanguve SAPS, Constable Rammego on 067 167 7188, or the SAPS Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.

Members of the public may also provide information anonymously via the MySAPS App.

SAPS urges anyone with information to come forward and assist the investigation.

JOUBERTON POLICE REQUEST COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE IN TRACING A MISSING WOMAN: MANTSANE LETLAKA (22)

The police in Jouberton request the community’s assistance in locating #missing 22-year-old Mantsane Letlaka, of Jouberton in Klerksdorp. Letlaka was last seen by her mother on Thursday evening, 09 January 2025 when she left with her friend but never returned.

A search commenced and extensive investigations were conducted, without any positive results. It is not known what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance. She is light in complexion and about 1.6 meter tall with a medium built body and had black plaited short hair.

The police request anyone who may have information regarding Mantsane Letlaka’s whereabouts to contact the Investigating Officer, Constable Donovan Craucamp on 084 201 3500 or 018 465 9342. Alternatively, call your local police station or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Anonymous tip-offs can also be communicated via the MySAPS App from your smart phone.

FAMILY IDENTIFIES 28-YEAR-OLD R21 MURDER VICTIM

The family of 28-year-old Gracious Nkomo has positively identified her as one of the women whose body was discovered along the R21 in Kempton Park.

Nkomo was the third woman whose body was discovered in the Kempton Park area on 10 September 2026. She was found partially clothed.

She was identified today by her family at the Germiston Mortuary.

The South African Police Service continues to investigate the murder of Nkomo, as well as the other cases involving women whose bodies have been discovered in the area.

Acting National Commissioner of the SAPS, Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane, says investigations are progressing, with a multidisciplinary team of investigators working around the clock to establish the circumstances surrounding the murders and identify those responsible.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Gracious Nkomo during this extremely difficult time. Our investigators remain seized with these cases, and we will continue to pursue every available lead to ensure that those responsible for these murders are brought to justice,” says Lieutenant General Dimpane.

As Kempton Park remains under intensified policing operations, investigations into these murders remain ongoing.
