Texas Senate Bill 2 (SB2) proposes the creation of education savings accounts, allocating $10,000 per student annually to fund private school tuition and related expenses. While proponents argue this empowers parental choice, it’s crucial to recognize the potential consequences for our public education system. Diverting public funds to private institutions can exacerbate disparities, leaving underfunded schools with even fewer resources. Every student, regardless of their zip code, deserves access to quality education. We must advocate for equitable funding across all Texas schools to ensure that no child is left behind. #txed
