Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking at the @Deakin Female Physiology and Performance Group meeting.
The presentation was about sex differences during military load carriage. This research is a stepping stone for better outcomes for female military personnel.
It was an exciting week in Brisbane at @Logemas, exploring markerless motion capture with the FLIR Blackfly cameras, and the @theiamarkerless and @Vicon integration.
Next step: deciding the best method for our upcoming combat shooting data collection.
We at @LaTrobe_SPAN have collected a rich biomechanical data set on the @VicInstSport Archery athletes.
The data will assist in determining differences when shooting the target when: 1) placed 5 m or 70 m away from the athlete, and 2) pre and post a training session.
We are looking forward to conducting a biomechanical analysis for the @VicInstSport Archery athletes on Monday and Tuesday.
Watch this space for what we get up to 👀 @LaTrobe_SPAN
Are you a current #Theia3D and #Visual3D user? Are you curious about how to analyze markerless data in Visual3D?

Key findings in the graphical abstract.
@MickleKaren Yes it is interesting! We have hypothesised that the increase in VO2 on the TM is due to the greater cadence, and difference in mechanical properties and absorption properties of treadmill and overground surfaces.
