Dr.Naseem ijaz was PGR Gyne at LW Hospital Lhr.She was on leave and when she returned, reportedly her pay was stopped by HOD & endorsed by admin.She was in severe financial stress and it became the cause of her death in hostel room that should be investigated.

CPSP has made FCPS Part-2 exam unnecessarily difficult, making residents take an unduly long time to pass. It is incompetence of examiners and incompetence of CPSP management. CPSP will have to change its approach in 2023.

More than a decade-old MBBS curriculum is going to be revised. We appreciate UHS to implement new, modular curriculum in all the medical colleges of Punjab from 1st March. In the new curriculum, clinical training will be given to the students from their first day in the college.

The lack of basic requirements is a major problem especially in private medical colleges/teaching hospitals.Approval of new substandard medical colleges has led to mushroom growth of medical colleges. PMDC should ensure the basic quality standards in medical colleges immediately.

The stipends of house officers in private teaching hospitals should be equal to the public sector hospitals of that province legally. Any of the private medical college offering house jobs at low stipends is clear violation of PMDC house job rules and regulations and is illegal.

The unpaid residences and FCPS induction issues are increasing day by day, the private institutions offering unpaid residences or very low stipends illegally. Time has come to struggle against these issues at higher level that might be neglected in the past.

PMDC Bill was not signed by President Alvi,however the government has decided to bring PMDC Bill in the Joint Parliamentary Session.We are grateful to the government for including the bill in the agenda of the joint session.After this there will be no need of Presidential assent.

Thousands of doctors are waiting for RMP (license to practice) and are unable to practice medicine just because of President Arif Alvi's political biased decision on PMDC Act because of his political affiliation with PTI and thousands of young doctors are suffering. 2/2
