Perfect weather for getting the HF antenna back up following the storms ready for Ex. Blue Ham. First time I haven’t been rained on, snowed on, frozen or blown away whilst doing work here! 🤗 https://t.co/roJKnAi135
A recent donation of radio equipment to the organisation was a great excuse to get this ol’ girl out! Gotta love a bit of DOS and Win95!! https://t.co/5X3RzBdz8P
So it’s been a while, but we are operational once again, this time in support of the NATB Dog Sports event at Charlton Park. So far the weather has been very kind and Rob, M0GKG even took the opportunity to get an overhead snap from the NOAA 18 weather satellite!
Had a good afternoon at Liddington Castle taking part in the RSGB 144MHz Backpackers contest. Great test of some new portable kit, and it all worked superbly!
When you have so many radios you start using them to prop up surplus computer servers to create a flat base on which to put a (working) VHF repeater, atop which sits another VHF repeater whose sole purpose is to serve as a ground plane for the mag mount antenna.....
So we are in the midst of a global pandemic, the country is on lockdown and it is essentially illegal to go outside and enjoy the nice weather!.....Perfect time then to crack on with all those outstanding radio projects - like putting together and testing this UHF tango....

That's another four radio instructors for @DorsetWiltsATC and @aircadets.
Great to see the 2385 staff team and visiting staff gaining qualifications to teach cadets.
